When are the web seminars available?
What is the cost?
The cost is $300 per connection. Discount rates are available - $275 per connection for 5 or more connections; $250 per connection for 10 or more connections purchased on the same order. These can be multiple connections to one session topic for multiple sites, connections to multiple classes in the same series (e.g., 5 sessions in the Supervisor Series), or a mix of connections to classes for any series.
How many people can attend?
You may have as many people as you like around a single web/audio connection. Each separate PC that accesses the seminar is viewed as a “connection” so if multiple students at the same site attend, you’ll want to have them join together in a common room via a projected screen and speakerphone. There’s no limit as to how many people can participate around this single connection at a site.
How does a web seminar work?
You can participate via the Internet for the visual presentation and a phone line for the audio portion of the class. We’ll provide you a link several days prior to the class, along with the telephone number and password to dial for the audio portion.
When will I receive access instructions?
We generally send access instructions out one day prior before the scheduled web seminar.
Can I get a copy of the presentation?
Yes, we’ll send you a PDF version of the presentation via email so you can print and bring along to class with you. There may also be some activities or other handouts used in class, and all these will be sent via email.
Will we be able to ask questions?
Absolutely! We encourage you to interact with the instructor and your fellow students during the session. You can do this either via the telephone or via a text chat capability as part of the web platform. Our goal is to make sure all your questions and ideas are discussed as part of the session, but in addition, our instructors will also be available after the session to address related questions.
What if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, you have several options. First, most classes are offered several times a year, so you can just catch the next delivery. If you don’t want to wait that long, we can deliver any topic for your center at any time as a private session. (The cost for a private delivery is $600 per 90-minute session.)
Who teaches the classes?
All of our web seminars are taught by one or more members of our senior faculty. Your instructor will have extensive experience in the topic area, as well as having much experience delivering in this web format.
What are the benefits of a web seminar delivery?
There are many benefits of a web seminar. Since you can have as many people as you like around a single web seminar connection, it’s an extremely cost-effective way to train multiple students at once. The sessions are only 90 minutes in length, so there’s not much time away from work and there are no travel costs! In addition, we find that attending classes in this modular format aids retention since students learn one topic at a time and have time to apply that knowledge on the job before coming back for the next week’s topic.
What if I don’t like it?
First, we’re sure you’ll be satisfied – even delighted – by your web seminar experience. These classes get rave reviews and the web curriculum has won just about every single industry award as a both a “high tech” as well as “high touch” training solution. However, if a web seminar doesn’t meet your needs, we’ll be happy to refund your registration fee or apply it to another class. Your satisfaction is absolutely guaranteed.
How can I decide which classes are the best choice for me?
You can take a free online assessment to test your knowledge in any of the six topic areas represented by the unique tracks of web courses (frontline, supervisory, leadership, operations, quality, and workforce management). Simply complete the online test and we’ll score it and send you an email with your scores in each area to identify specific topics within that area of interest where you scored high and where there are opportunities for improvement through training. That email will help point you toward the best classes to fit your needs. (Note: If your company would like to assess multiple potential students, just call us at 615-812-8400 and let us know the names of the people and we will bundle the test scores and report back an overall score as well as individual scores to help you identify the best programs for your team.)
